Welcome to the Quivira Farms neighborhood website!  The website is meant to be a place to keep you informed on events, activities, services offered by our neighbors, and an area to advertise items for sale.  We will also post updates and reminders from the board in addition to the emails you currently receive.

Yard Waste

RECYCLING AND YARD WASTE INFORMATION

Recycling service is unlimited for Overland Park residents. If you fill up your recycling cart, you may place excess in another container labeled with the word “recycling” or the universal recycling symbol.

Due to a citywide mandate (Overland Park Trash & Recycling), yard waste removal is included with your base service. Waste must be placed in biodegradable/compostable bags or a rigid container no larger than 32 gallons clearly marked yard waste and will be picked up on the same day as your trash service. 6 bags of yard waste will be accepted per pick up March through September. 10 bags of yard waste will be accepted October and November. Overage stickers are available for additional yard waste.  Bundles have to be tied, 18" or less in diameter and 4' or less in length.

City Wide Pickup

Will take place in 2014.

Glass Recycling

For glass recycling.  Glass can be brought to JCCC and placed in the Purple dumpster at the top of the hill located in the Westgate entrance.
